Due to Covid -19 restrictions on all sporting events, the William Johnston & Company Limited sponsored Citroen C1 race car had its first outing of 2020 at Knockhill Racing Circuit in Fife on Saturday 31 October. Driving in his debut race meeting, Nick Hawthorn from Edinburgh, qualified 14th out of 23 starters and went on to finish 8th in Race 1 and 6th in race 2. This was a very impressive performance from a novice driver in challenging weather and against more experienced drivers in identical cars. William Johnston & Company has a long history of supporting racing drivers, teams and motorsport events in the UK and are suppliers of sealing products to many companies involved in the sport.
